TedxSydney 2017 was purely amazing and inspirational! Not only was I in awe of the brilliant minds and courageous presentations of the speakers, it was refreshing to listen/watch the whole event unfold.
For its price, I cannot remember the exact price but it was below $200, you are scheduled in a full day (9-6PM) with talks, mini talks in between sessions accompanied by morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea! Also, we were treated with 10 short films that have yet to be shown to the public. I loved all of the mini films, but the Tetris and story about a mother reuniting with her child melted my heart.
The other cool concept placed within The Hub, where people congregated after each session, was the Tribe spaces. You are given a pack of stickers to choose from and stick onto your name tag, this identifies some of your personality traits and interests. You then find the balloon with the same colour and find other people who share your same interest. It’s great if you came alone or want to meet new people. There is a youth (30 years and under) event, I believe being held in September this year.

Shakespeare’s Henry IV (1 &2) is seamlessly combined with Henry V, set in a modern superhero universe… still cannot get your head around it? Imagine an alternate England where magic exists, where princesses can control nature and where thieves as well as drunkards are prevalent.
The play follows Hal, or otherwise known as Prince Henry. Speaking in Shakespearean, Hal is initially portrayed as a rebel against the King but a civil war looms over, he chooses to accept his destiny.
Adapted and directed by John Galea, be sure not to miss out! Taking a contemporary approach to a classic play, it was an entertaining adaptation, from the actors/actresses to the props it was superb. The props helped create the magical world, but the actors/actresses truly gave the story life.

I love local events and a circus on top of that! Currently touring in certain locations in NSW, the last date being on the 9/10/16.
Family friendly as well as if you are riding solo on the night, Webers Circus is an entertaining event with a bright, young cast it was mesmerizing throughout! It was remarkable the variety of talent they showcased that night, themed around the wild west. I was lucky enough to get a VIP ticket and since we sat smack down in the middle, my partner got chosen to assist haha.
I do not want to spoil the event, but all I can say is for the price and talent plus the cutest ponies it was worth the dime!

Held on the 03 July 2016, I had partaken in one of the most physically demanding event of my life! I got two of my lovely workmates, to run in a marathon. I completed mine in 3 hours. Our first half-marathon.
I felt a rush of accomplishment, from the start to the end. Who knew I would have survived a 21K run! Showcasing Nike’s superb event coordination, before the run hundreds of women were catered to get their nails done, hair braided, stylish tattoos and get a healthy breakfast prior. Afterwards they had massages for runners, food trucks and beauty stylists.
For all the volunteers and pacers along the way, I applaud your enthusiasm though out the event. It certainly created an enjoyable experience, such professionalism! Even if you have never done a run before, half-marathon even, you should definitely have this down in your bucket list.
A way overdue post, we are now in Winter in Sydney… but I wanted to share the pictures I took of this beautiful experience. Before I bombard you with photos, this event allowed the public to enter privately owned gardens. Some that have not been opened to the public for years.
These gardens were magnificent! Historic and grand as they were, some stretched for acres and acres. E and I wandered through these magical gardens, mind you it was so lovely that you would not be able to take any awful shots. Every garden had their own theme, from European to Asian influences it was truly remarkable. The Autumn season brought out the colors and the serene mood for the event.

Who better to play the character of Stella Goldschlag in Blood Poison, directed by Jennifer Hagan, than 2015 Sydney Theatre Awards best actress nominee?
Australian actress, Belinda Giblin stars as Stella in a “90 minute tour de force” at The Studio, Sydney Opera House. This setting allows the audience to further delve into her story, as she confides to us her tragic accomplishments, within the comforts of her living room. She brings us back to Berlin whilst waiting for an old friend, where citizens are surrounded by the war, living in fear and distrust. World War II, to be exact. It was outstanding watching Belinda holding the play by herself, portraying the constant physical and mental torture endured by Stella.
For the survival and love for her family and herself, she decides to become a “greifer” for the Gestapo. In other words an informant against the Jews, though Jewish herself. Her decision goes all against her culture, traditions and morality as her human survival instincts sets off. Whilst watching her, I got to see from her perspective why she chose to do what she did. Eventually as a spy, Stella became known as Blonde Poison due to her Aryan appearance – blue eyes and blonde hair.
The whole play from start to finish, was extraordinary constantly I was conflicted with her. Belinda’s emotional acting explicitly demonstrates the relentless struggle within Stella. From a loving daughter, adored friend and neighbour to a betrayal of all sides. Her actions will make you question, what will you do when the time comes?

Tauer Perfumes is a niche, luxury fragrance that screams refined elegance and beauty. Men’s Biz located at The Strand Arcade, Sydney, was ever a gracious host celebrating the brand’s Australian launch. It was in a perfect location, in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere and I was floored with the immaculate presentation of the Tauer perfumes.
Eleven cobalt blue, handmade Tauer glass bottles were showcased. With the help of our charming hosts, we talked away about our ultimate favourites. Taking my share on the scrumptious canapés and cocktails provided. Through the night, I could not take my hands off one particular perfume. No. 14 Noontide Petals – soft hints of vanilla, jasmine, ylang and sandalwood. The other scents were just as attractive; you could say I turned into one happy Tauer fan!
