The Bare Hunt

Close to where I work, every first Sundays and some odd Sundays after that, there are markets being held. I love new pop-up stalls that would sell home-made and quirky objects that can help make things you own look that much more unique.

One stall in particular I browsed upon was The Bare Hunt – they create home-made concrete home-wares, all the way from Newcastle. I can’t find their website *sad face*

Here’s what I got myself:

The makers would place a cactus into it and it’s up to you now to take care of it! The top picture shows how it looked when I first got it, and it didn’t start blooming until a few days later when I placed it onto my window-sill. The flower was exquisite! Each day I would wake up and then boom a new flower would have sprouted.

Unluckily, it got tipped over so we didn’t get to keep it. The great thing about owning a cactus, is that it’s very low maintenance, a sprinkle of water and then place it under the sun for a few hours. Don’t let it turn brown!

Oh how I miss it.
